What this service is
nard.gg is a server for backgammon and related variants. Matches are played either in real time — both players sit at the board at the same time and a game clock runs — or in correspondence mode, in which a move is made whenever there is time for it. The service is free of charge. No contract for a service against payment is concluded; nobody plays for money or pays anything in, and there are no chips, no purchasable currency and no payout of winnings.
Notice of illegal content
Anyone who considers content on this site to be illegal — in a player profile, for example — can notify it using the “Report content” form, without an account and without signing in (Art. 16 Digital Services Act). Every notice is reviewed by the provider; anyone who gives a contact address receives an answer, as a rule within 7 days. The single point of contact for authorities and users within the meaning of Art. 11 and 12 DSA is the e-mail address given above; communication is possible in German and English.
For everything else on this site that is wrong, missing or badly worded, there is Feedback — likewise without an account and with the same promise: anyone who gives a contact address receives an answer, as a rule within 7 days.
Liability for content
Liability for own content on these pages is governed by the general laws. As a service provider, however, there is no obligation to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under the general laws remain unaffected. Liability in this respect is only possible from the point in time at which a specific infringement becomes known; as soon as such infringements become known, the content concerned is removed without delay.
Liability for links
This service contains links to external websites whose content is beyond any influence from here. No guarantee can be given for this third-party content. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. The linked pages were checked for possible legal infringements at the time the link was set; no unlawful content was recognisable. Permanent monitoring of the content of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete indications of an infringement. Such links are removed without delay as soon as infringements become known.
Copyright and licence

The interface uses three third-party typefaces, all under the SIL Open Font License, version 1.1: Alegreya (version 2.009, Juan Pablo del Peral, Huerta Tipográfica), Noto Naskh Arabic (version 2.021, The Noto Project Authors) and IBM Plex Mono (version 2.3, IBM Corp.). They are delivered by this server, never by a third-party host; the linked licence texts sit next to the font files. The icons come from Tabler Icons (MIT licence).
Dispute resolution
There is neither willingness nor obligation to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
